Most people really wish their spouse was their best friend...
At least we start out that way, but it isn't easy what we're doing. We think it's going to be, then life hits. And unless we're playing on the same team, it's super easy to see our spouse as the enemy.
Relationships are extremely important to almost every human being on the planet. God barely got started writing to us about who He is and who we are to Him in the Bible when in Genesis 2:18 He says, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." He didn't wait to tell us this later in the Bible. He tells us this after sharing how He created the world. So from the beginning, relationship has been a fundamental part of being human.
Because we value relationships so highly, sometimes talking about dating or marriage in the context of a game is uncomfotable - at first. I get that. I want to invite you to try it on for a little while as a way to talk about what we can accomplish on this coaching experience. When it comes to dating, marriage, parenting, finances, responsibilities, and other important issues that come up in relationships, we know that we are talking about a serious game that we have a lot of passion about. And that's a GOOD thing!
